Save $250 a month, $1500 cash for coils or after market struts.

These guys are correct, springs/struts > shitty coils.

I had the luxury of putting in the Eibach Sportline springs at my buddy's garage, so no labor cost for me. Changing wheel/thinner rubber + springs, yes it will make the ride harsher but I kinda enjoy that since I am a sick bastard so no prob with me.

The cheapest way to have a decent look and stance would be lowering springs/hub centric high quality spacers for front and rear, plasti dip that mother fucker black, and you got a cheap mans flush lowered car with black rims. good at least for 6 months to save up for real shit.
I'd like to take a ride in your car so I can compare the ride to my Eibach Pro-kit. I may be going to Darren's Saturday to have my front sway bar installed if you're free.

I got Eibach Pro-kit installed. Loving the height and ride. I think it just the right drop. Just a little firmer than stock and handles much better. You can feel it is less bouncy as dd and i will be going for an aftermarket strut koni or bilstein down the toad and after some HPDEs i'll know if I need coilovers.

I may be able to stop by after my cars and coffee at Cascade Station. What time are you going to Darrens?

The only thing is I have 225/40/18 and 245/35/18's so that it self rides more rough, add the springs and I think you may get a false impression.

If you havn't put the exhaust on, I want to hear your car with just the Perrin Intake! Although I am going FI, I still want the CAI for the time being.

Not sure when or if yet as a trip to Darren's shop is still tentative on if he decides to. If I can get up early enough I'll come to C&C. No exhaust yet as they are still making it. Intake is on and sounds great though.

Ok let me know if you are going to come by C&C. I should be there probably around 9:30AM.

Yea its hard to just hear the intake, since most have aftermarket exhaust, and it dwarfs the intake sound..

Sorry I realized the hi jacking of the thread here..

Here are some pics with the Eibach Sportline springs with no rims/rims.

I got lucky on my camber, since I've heard the rear camber gets wacky after lowering it, and everyone is different. When I got my alignment done, mine was 2.2/2.4 in the rear. 0.1+ toe was off as well. That's not bad.

thanks everyone. after debating I decided to just do it - its a little rough but I guess if it gets too annoying I can always go back to stock. for now, at least visually its fine.

Worst part about lowering this car at all is that it ruins the rear camber. This car NEEDS more adjustment in the rear end for camber, and it just isn't there. I've got the eibach pro kit with the factory shocks and the ride is great, handles fine, but the rear camber is all jacked up and almost completely un-fixable without replacing parts. Luckily, I wanted to get new LCAs anyways, but now I have to get them before I get new tires so I don't destroy them prematurely.

Just something to keep in mind.

Sportlines are the PERFECT drop for this car. Sits perfect and handles great too. I knew from the beginning that 1" wouldn't be enough so I went with the sportlines on day 1 of owning the car and I couldn't picture it sitting any other way...

with the SWIFT springs, the rear doesnt look that far off - barely can tell. I even have the results (printout) of the alignment -- it looks ok but now im wondering the long term on the tires and if this is worth the asthetics.. second thoughts now

it sure seems pretty stiff to me also - especially if u hit a bump in the road or down the hw.. on flat road its ok but hard to tell if this is a placebo affect. i guess if i dont like it going fwd i can always go back - worried about screwin up new tires .. hmm
