Mobil1 15w50 supersyth here. Recommended by my mechanic, who know a whole lot about race cars than I do.

Where I live cold starts are a non issue and things get *hot*.

Flamesuit on.

Dude, you're Dubai. Flamesuit is pretty much the fashion in a place that hot!

I don't know if I have a typing problem or some type of mild dyslexia but I seem to miss little words all the damn time and I'm embarrassed when I go back and read my own posts! I also miss this when I proof-read my own posts. I'm not retarded I promise!

"Dude, you're Dubai" Should have been "Dude, you're in Dubai".

How do I fix this? Ugh.

Wow we run that in the race car because the bearings are on the loose end of spec (222k miles). That seems thick to me but if it's working for you then great. I'd get some UOA's done on that one though.

I did just pick up some royal purple. Not my favorite but I can find it locally. Going to swap the 0W-20 for 5W-30 though me thinks.

Otherwise I'm considering going back to Amsoil, or maybe being a follower and running 300V like the CSG guys.

Dave, maybe give the German Castrol a try? 0w30. I run it in the other caR and it holds up very well to track abuse.

I heard that changed the formulation? Either way I never found any locally.

Just to close my own question, and add info for interested parties, I called Motul tech dept. below are their recommendations (interesting to note that they didn't recommend 5W30):

Stock engine FRS:
300V 0W20 for street and light duty track.
300V 0W40 for frequent track at aggressive levels and colder start up temp (not a problem if you wait for the engine to warm up).
300V 5W40 if cold start or letting it warm up is not an issue. Otherwise 0W40 and 5W40 are identical performance.
