Maybe OP is interested in drag racing at red light the with mustangs and 370's.
That would make for an interesting outcome though.. |

The trick to engine swaps, especially if the car is pricy or classic, is to not end up with an unloved mongrel at the end. Someday you will want to get rid or it, and if your project offends both the engine and chassis camps, you are SOL. Same thing if your brilliant engineering and fabrication skills are impossible to maintain or replicate by the average human motor-head.
I am really looking forward to the LSx BRZ projects going on. The LSx has proven a good combination for the Miata crowd and I cant see where it should not work as well with the Twins. |

I love the idea of a 400hp N/A flat 6 BRZ, but you would have such a better starting point if you were to sell the BRZ/86/FR-S and start with a Cayman.

This thread is full of nonsense.. OP is right... Putting a Flat Engine instead of a stupid corvette engine or 2jz makes way more sense technically.. This is price aside of course.. we know porsche engines are expensive thank you and it would be easier to just buy a cayman thank you.. yes... but... if you like your cars FR then this is a sick idea.. would love to see it done.
Not often you see engine swaps even address the problems of weight balance and distribution.. OP knows wasup. |
