It shouldn't cost him anything...then again if they f'd it up the first time, I'm not sure I'd want to give them a second shot. That blows.

Yeah. Good point. If it is that bad he should get a refund. And a FULL refund considering he'll be wasting more of his time having it redone.

Pics would help. I have a feeling this is related to the application of the product but I could be way off

Thats my guess as well. I'm thinking the paint is covered in high spots which will look nasty.

I've seen it twice, it's super nasty looking, and can be a pain to fix. :x

What I see way more often is guys applying OC over paint that looks good, but still has polishing oils; you end up with hazy paint and the OC doesn't bond properly.

I would really like to help you with this ordeal, but I need good photos to assess what happened. I know of good detailers that can help you, granted they are not in your hood but close enough for quality work.

Cheers,
GREG

It's gotta be a risk you are willing to take. I took a chance with a local recommended mobile detailer and the result was shiny indeed, but they were just holding their $400 buffer down on it...and few months past, all the swirls showed up again.

Swirls are self induced from washing and drying. The detailer could have removed them and they were reintroduced through improper wash and drying techniques.

Who did you have do the work?

Cheers,
GREG
