I wish my dealer would have asked. I swear it's the first thing they do when it comes off the truck. A tech is waiting with drill in hand.

While I was talking to my salesman, discussing the car, the business manager was listening in from an office across the hall. As soon as I mentioned lowering springs she starts piping up from her office, about, "Yup the car needs lowering springs" and "get a plate holder so we don't drill it!"

I didn't even have to ask, she already had all of my plans in mind without me saying anything. Perrin license plate holder is enroute to the dealer for install before I pickup the car.

That was a dealer plate holder

They are JDM headlights (Toyota GT86)

My dealer tried twice to talk me out of drilling the front tag bracket.

I was a little annoyed he even asked the first time. It's state law and he knew I was a state resident as he copied my DL.

To answer the question: center of the grille. Dealer did it.

I tapped, I talked, I conquered.

Had my BRZ since May... No Front plate, no back plate

If I put a back plate on they might cite me for having no front plates... This strategy works well for red light cameras as well.

Measured carefully and drilled through the solid part of the grille. On a warm day, the plastic was soft and easy. The bottom edge is not fastened, but the top is tightened down so it doesn't vibrate.
