... 274 Hp for a Genesis 2.0t it's similar in equipment and it's 22k Subaru sure has lots of competition other then the people in the FRS forum above us. This STI better be extremely well equipped and Priced well.... then again people will buy a Subaru just cause it's quality and Subaru.

I call BS. You don't spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a car only to say, ''yeah, well, uh, it's not released yet and there is a way more powerful option a year or two away, so just don't even worry about buying it right now.''

Now to be fair, They aren't making any of those hundreds of millions back since each car is going to break even. They don't really gain anything but publicity. If I was in their shoes I wouldn't hurry either. I would take my time to get things right, not to mention all the disaster problems and parts problems they've been having since the quake and the part suppliers like Thailand was taken out from natural disasters. I almost want to say now they're losing some money just putting the normal cars out.

Give em a break. Lots of people come out with a lower power lower tech cars in the initial years, look at the GTR then and GTR now, or the s2000. We're just lucky to get these

There is no way they are breaking even on this car, they will be making money I guarantee it.

I will agree with you if there is no hard evidence by detroit auto show *(january) and the feb auto show.

However subaru knows the us is a perf market and they have really made a name for themselves amongst car guys in the us since 2002. Now they've made a true sports car design, why wouldn't it have a hotter version? Also subaru wants this car to get its full respect and make the point it's not just a high hp fast car, but an incredible car even with moderate power. So maybe just waiting until the car wows the pants off everyone to announce hotter versions for the big dogs like me.

---guy talking about steering input- A na 100 hp less brz is obviously easier to control, however you have to keep a couple things in mind.
1)the turbo/extra 100hp while harder to use if used properly can execute these racing or tracking situations faster.

2)Having more pwr/low end with an added turbo allows you to be in a slightly higher gear and still corner quickly

There is proof and sources that they will break even both corporation has already stated this. What evidence do you have they will make profit? The cars aren't even out, you don't even know their true price. As far as profit is concern they wont even make that until at least 2 years in, which further proves the fact that, They Subaru or Toyota aren't pressured to come out with anything for one or two more years and that they are not obligated at all to make these. To call BS on them without looking further in, they don't owe it to us at all to make higher power versions when they don't owe it to us to even make the production cars in the first place.

Subaru had no reason to make the BRZ Toyota has reasons to make the 86. As far as everything is concern I'm not surprise at all if they don't make anything. It would be a nice gesture that they do make the STI. Just wait and be patient, Subaruslow bring up the best point right now. They have time on their hands and they know people will sit and wait because they want quality.

Remind self...never buy a Porsche new...only used. I saw 2007 Porsche Cayman's for less than 30K with only 22k miles on it. I am like damn!
