- Like $10 for crash bolts
- $30 for alignment (I had a coupon lol)
- $150 for test pipe
- $150 for muffler delete
- $160 for 2 oil changes
- $260 for 4 AutoXes

- so $760....unless you want to count the $3k or so that insurance is currently paying to fix the damage to my car from where a moron decided to crash into me! ARGH!

Looking forward to comparison between your car after turbocharging and your previous Cayman R. I already saw what you said, but I'd appreciate more of a whole car review (e.g. power vs power, handling vs handling, how much you got in the BRZ vs. Cayman). What you said about depreciating the value of the Cayman by driving it was insightful too.

No. That goes on the additional income column.

I don't have a Turbo on my BRZ, and I had a Cayman S not an R, but I think the BRZ, especially on the street, is a metric shitton more fun to drive. It's actually a driving experience, not just floor it in first and be speeding. You get to row the gears. It's fun to maneuver, etc.

It's not as far as the Cayman by any stretch, but I'm not looking to win trophys, Im looking to have fun. The BRZ is definitely fun.

I didn't add the Redline fluids in the diff and tranny, but I figure it isn't worth listing if it isn't over $100. I don't have any industry connections yet, but I hope to change that in the coming years. I also normally don't like to add up the prices. I figure I will only ever see 50% of that money back at best even if I part the car out prior to selling. This car has now surpassed the amount of money I spent on my 350Z which was mostly in my Volks, Stoptechs, and JL Audio.

I've only had the car for about 3 weeks now, so there will be plenty more mods coming

1. LED dome, door and trunk lights - free from a friend
2. Eibach Sportline springs - $260
3. alignment - $60
4. 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers - $300
5. WORKS drop-in air filter with cleaning kit - $97

total: $717

Yeah I wasn't going to list fluids but figured what the hell.

Ironically most of the people I know in this industry I know from my Honda days. Honda FTW. :P

Interesting. I said that it is almost as fun as the Cayman R for less than half the price. I felt the Cayman R had just about the right amount of power for the dynamics of the chassis and avaliable grip. You want to talk about floor it in first and be speeding, then you are talking about a C6 Z06 which can do well over 60 mph in first gear. I had one of those before my Cayman R.
