Question Should I buy an FR-S?

In a few months I'm going to buy a new car. Heavily considering the FR-S and I believe it is an excellent looking/handling car, however I have many other options including a Toyota Tundra or a Mustang GT. Should I choose the FR-S? I have test driven it and like it, however it would take getting used to considering I currently drive a truck.

Depends on why you drive the truck. Couldn't be happier with mine, but I'm coming from a '03 Camry. If you're driving a truck because you actually need a truck, then there's just no way that the FR-S will work.

I'll help.

Buy the FRS over the Mustang for fun. Mustang over truck cause its still kind of fun. But I agree with ib if you need a truck then stick with that.

I say do it, you'll love it.

Before my FRS, my daily driver was a Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Luckily I was able to keep my truck too, since once you've had a truck it's hard to be without one. That being said, I've put over 10k miles on my FRS and maybe 500 on my truck. I enjoy driving my FRS as much today as the first time I drove it.

Go for it!

yeah... same as everyone else. do you need a truck or no? if you're a person that piles sand, gravel, rocks, etc. into a truck bed on a regular basis, then i'd say go with that. if you're one of the people that own a truck and park it on the far end of the parking lot to avoid getting a ding, then you probably are driving the wrong vehicle. if you have a heavy foot the mustang all the way. you can't beat that feeling of torque combined with decent mpgs. then again, you could always modify the FRS... if you actually just enjoy the feeling of driving or plan to take it to a track that has turns, then get the FRS.

A FR-S forum is not the place to get a straight answer just as a Mustang forum wouldn't be either. If you can't decide what you want, you need to do more research and test drives to give yourself more information. The more information you gather, the easier the choice will be.

Lol mustang/tundra/frs? They are three completely different worlds , as for the frs don't buy it . It's a complete piece of shit, it's not fast , most of them are in shops , you won't be able to do burn outs like a mustang or haul shit like the truck.
frs sucks at cornering , tail gives away and car drifts around corners by itself ... Like wtf ?

Everyone here spent their hard earned money on an FR-S or a brz so most of them are going to tell you to get it because after all their research it was the best fit for them. You need to fully see what is the best for you like all of the rest of us did. If you have kids the back seat is probably to small. If you need trunk space also probably not gonna happen to fit more than one full size luggage. Cars like this are great fun but can have issues with space. No one likes to regret a big purchase make sure you test drive all your options and really look at what is the best fit for you.

Its a fun little car that is fairly well built for its intended purpose. I love mine, but I also knew what I was getting myself into when I purchased it. I traded in my truck at the time for the Fr-s, but ended up purchasing another truck, this time a huge 1ton turbo diesel. So you can imagine going from one to the other is quite odd sometimes. lol. Any ways ya need to look at what you want and or need from a vehicle before you just go ahead and jump on the bandwagon and spend your money! Just my $.02
