Glad to hear it'll be installed shortly.

However I'd recommend a tune with this mod, very strongly, as opposed to just a non-fouler as a band aid. Not only because a tune will let me ECU stop throwing a CEL for the rear cat, but more importantly because now you're changing the exhaust flow that's actually exiting the motor directly... you need a tune to properly account for that amount air change. In fact, you need a tune for this mod WAY MORE than for just a cat-back as this effects the engine quite a bit more (as again, its the airflow DIRECTLY related to the engine)
Not to mention, MO POWA!

So it's time for a small update.

We found some time to get the install done and videos all right before we get an ice storm.

The install consisted of the following items. A Perrin Over-Pipe and the Borla UEL Header for the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ. The install is pretty simple and straight forward. We didn't have time to document but can always help out via e-mail if you get stuck.

First off lets talk about weight savings.

Stock Header - 20.90 lbs

Borla UEL Header - 10.20 lbs

Stock Over Pipe - 4.50 lbs

Perrin Over Pipe - 3.50 lbs

Overall we dropped another 11.7 lbs from our car.

Some cool photos for comparison of the new parts vs stock parts.

Installed in the car.

And of course we couldn't finish an update without any videos.

Also, I can't tell from the video but would you say the headers made the exhaust louder or mostly changed the sound. I can't tell from the videos.

Exhaust noise has both become louder and the character of the noise has changed.

It really has that boxer growl now

Cheers!

Holy crap, that's awesome.

Should do a catted front pipe vid if you can with the V1 as well. It will make a pretty big difference in that low RPM growl you're hearing and tone it down slightly. Otherwise, sounds spectacular.

That sound is exactly what I'm looking for, but a little refined which I think the cat on the front pipe will provide.

I know its going to be a while before you take this car to a dyno, but do you feel any gains while driving it with the new headers?
