You can add the Motegi Traklites I'm running to your list, since it doesn't seem like you're looking for a particular style. 16x7 +40 and 12.5 pound for under $300/ea. I'm not a huge fan of the 5 spoke look, but they were ever so slightly used and a package deal with the tires and a screaming bargain as a result, so I pulled the trigger. I'm all about bang for my buck.

A shot in the dark here since this is old but do you know anywhere to get the motegi traklites in 16x7. Looks like on their site they start at 17"s now. Im guessing I have to go used. But pound for $$ looks like the best option and that offset is good too

The Traklite1 I mention are from their older forged line and no longer sold. The current Traklite line is cast/flow formed, and is heavier, but less expensive...still, not bad wheels. They also don't seem to be available in 16" either. I was lucky enough to scrounge up a used spare set, for the inevitable damage/replacement that happens over time. For now, I have a street set and a track set with different rubber.

You just have to get lucky and find them used. The new ones totally suck. I bought a set used in 17x8.5 and bent them on a tiny pothole in like 3 months. Hopelessly useless.

Apparently the Volk TE37 Gravel edition come in 15x7 and are supposedly 11.5 pounds still and will fit our cars. I'm going to look into that.

I've seen them advertised in the 16.5lbs range. But if I remember correctly when I weighed them on my bathroom scale, it was more like 17.5lbs. Can't say how accurate my scale is though; it's an analog piece from Ikea lol.

Advertised might be lightest of that size. But seen often that different PCD/offset/concavity change weight a lot.

Any known 16s or 15s that fit the PP brakes? I recall the WRX/STi having some options.

I don't think any 16s fit over the PP's brakes. Not basing that on firsthand experience, but rather everything I've read saying 17s are the smallest you can get away with the factory Brembos. Can you get 16" steels for the PP cars? (winter wheels) I don't think you can..

Stis had a wheel offering (by third party) that allowed the use of 16s I believe. I just need to locate that information. I want to believe it was Team Dynamics.

Or maybe it was the FHI 4pots.

I'd believe the FHI calipers before the Brembos. I just don't think there's enough room in a 16" barrel to accomodate the Brembos, but again, I could be wrong. Just a WAG.

Edit:, so I took a look at my 16s and the clearance between the barrel and the standard US front caliper..there's a hair over a 1/2" clearance, just eyeballing it. Not a lot of room to stuff a bigger rotor and caliper in there and still keep adequate clearance. Just the difference between a 300mm versus a 320mm rotor eats up nearly all that room, nevrmind a bigger caliper too.

BRAID has 16x7 wheels that fit over STI brembos. I do not know if this definitively means they will fit over PP brakes.

Seen here with the dual drilled option on an STI:

Plent of 16 inch wheels to fit over FHI 4 pots.
