I prefer "low" grip (well less high) and I had (european) Goodyear EfficientGrip Perfromance XL tires, they were 7,1kg! But car suffered from skipping tires in the wet (too light!?). Now I've got Nokian Blue 8,8kg (normal weight for a touring tyre) and like them a lot. (All the above talking about 205/55R16) |

Cheers Trettiosjuan, I burnt through the RE002's 205/55/16 in 16000km.
So going softer like the ad08R is probably a bad idea. I would like to try something different next time, I'll keep an eye out for the holy grail -light high grip tyre. |

AD08R's aren't legal for street autocross classes starting this year. Plus they've been an expensive tire in the US for years, not as popular as some other tires that are just as sticky but cheaper.

@Kostamojen:
What's the weight of those 16" Rotas without tires? ...and also weight with those 225 Zii tires? Edit: N/m..I see the weights: 13.5lbs for 16" Slipstreams + 23lbs 225 Zii = 36.5lbs 5lb weight reduction per corner. Not too shabby at all ![]() . |

I found a shop that has the 16x8's ...but I think the 8" version might weigh about 2-3lbs more; as much as a lightweight 17." So it would be pointless going 16" and I'd just stick with 16x7. I'm not sure about the 8" version weight though. Can anyone confirm?
http://www.iagperformance.com/Rota-S...0056.1ftbk.htm Wheeldude looks like they have 16x8 5x100 as well: http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1225 |

16" Slipstream weights:
7” = 6.4kg (14.1lbs) …(though some people and diff website specs say 13.5-13.9lbs) 8” = 7.4kg (16.3lbs) I'd def stay 7" for the weight savings alone. |

Has anyone had the stock 16'' 86 wheels shipped over to the states? How much did you end up paying?

You should try and get a set from australia (gumtree, ebay) seen $500au for a set and maybe sea freight them. Made by enkei and top quality they are but not much love for them down here.
