As an aside, I thought the current tC back seats were pretty awesome for a small coupe. Getting in and out stinks, but once you are in there, it isn't too bad. I don't expect to put people in the back of the FR-S other than having absolutely no other choice.
Good for performance, bad for passengers. lol
Im not too worried because I don't like giving too many people rides anyway. I always preferred being the driver instead of a passenger, probably due to the fact that I'm the only one out of my friends who hasn't been in an accident.

PLUS, It'll just be myself and a girl in my car. Her friends can walk. lol

I have small kids and will use the car as a daily driver and occasionally to pick them up from school...so I appreciate them and am glad Toyota had the foresight to realize not all buyers will be single 20 somethings carrying around only a backpack and folder...

u realize those aren't the real drivers right?

i love my tc for being able to carry passengers, but i LOVE the FRS, so i'll probably just be relegated to only carrying 1 other person. whatever. i'm single

the only thing i'd really miss is the versatility of my TC. that thing is great for sleeping in, or carrying furniture. amazing car.

Girls won't have any problem to fit in the rear seats, unless these girls are overweight. Can't think of any of my girls friends that is overweight.

I KNOW it is a small car. I understand that. Its just... if I get this car, it will have to afford some practicality to justify it being my only car. If there is literally no way for someone of average height to sit in the rear seats, I'll have to continue dreaming and start looking at other cars.

Thanks!

Updated with pic of four people in the car, and adults in the back seat.

Talk about an extremem corner case!

Those guys are probably all 5'3! If someone from my basketball team needs a ride home, not going to happen!

I have a feeling that eventually the backseat will gather more and more junk as I always throws things to the backseat (books, jackets, shorts etc.)

The backseats will probably be a more accessible trunk for me.

Perfect, no space for fat chicks in the back. I'm 5'9 so not a lot of tall ladies are waiting for a ride

He can sit cross ways with his feet on the other seat, bags in the trunk.

But props to the Driftengoku guys.

That pic actually doesn't look that bad. I rode in the back seat of a Jaguar XKR-S for kicks recently, that was *horrible*. I'm short at 5'6" and had to duck/tilt my head.

One average sized adult male in the back behind the passernger will most likely be the only way.

What were the seats set for here?

Cause i think that would be set for someone that is 6'4' if someone was 5'8-6'1-2 they would move the seat forward allowing enough room for someone behind the driver as well.
