It's pretty straight forward.
shave the lexus emblem on the back, transfer internals, get key cut, paint case and ur done.

Was purchasing a new key fob cheaper than the eBay item I linked? I would also like to change my key fob.

No. I ended up paying like $45 shipped. Lexus dealer wanted $250 for a new one

I'm surprised no one else has done this. I need to redo mine tho. I want to redo the back I had a little paint peal up because I didn't account for the cold weather for the paint drying time

Why not just get the JDM STi leather cover? I think if I was going to do anything "different" with my FOB I'd get one of the Lexus Card Keys.

Fob is same size as the BRZ oem fob. It's an illusion because I'm holding the lex fob closer to the camera because I did a little touch up on the back and couldnt lay it down yet.

not about to pay $150 for a leather cover. Main reason I did this is because the OEM key was shit quality, all plastic and looked like crap the lex key is 1/2 metal 1/2 plastic and it feels a lot nicer in my hand. I'll look into the card key fob. I just havent really thought that much about it.
