nice congrats

as for me i was looking to get a new car couple months ago and i was not sure if i will have the guts to pull a trigger on a brand new car for the first time.. saw the FRS and been calling dealers around for the last month and no luck....

so on jan 8/2013 one of my local dealer had the whiteout unicorn instock and they said no one has claimed it yet for the past 4 days it got delivered and they say it wont last long there i just wanted to look at it and see it in person for the first time up close.. then something inside me said "just get it" after all im driving a 94 integra for the past 9 years plus its my birthday on feb 7/new years/Christmas.. i never asked for anything for my birthday/Christmas ever since i was a little kid so i decided to treat myself and experience a great responsibility that i have to work hard and educate myself and know what i want to do in life/living..feels like my life just change in a instant buying this car.. no more being lazy me..

I read through the whole thread before I realized you were a fellow Oregonian, nice to see more that aren't from North of Corvallis, lol!
Yeah, they seem to be pretty scarce around here, i've only seen a handfull on the roads so far. I ordered mine in september also, just now got it lol. Still worth the wait though

Looks like I'll be buying one in the next few months and am stuck deciding the color. Both of the new owners in this thread have the colors I'm looking for as well.

Also, Trashed675, it's nice to see someone else coming from a Daytona around here.

I've still got it, I'm not sure ill ever get rid of it. I played with the idea of getting an S1000RR instead of the frs, but cost of insurance and the likelihood of unfavorable outcomes made the choice pretty easy.

Try and see one up close in the colors you want, that's how I made my mind up between ultramarine and asphalt.

Sadly for me to buy an FR-S, I would have to sell the Triumph. At this point I just have to decide if the occassional ride is worth living with my current car. I'll probably just pick up a bike to track in a year or two, that's the only time I have fun with it any more anyway.

I've seen all the colors up close actually, I work for a Toyota dealer, and it's just making it that much harder... I definitely need to see another ultramarine in person sometime soon, pictures don't seem to do it justice.

Don't let them sell you on the Lojack shit.

Guy was trying to sell me on Lojack and GAP insurance and kept telling me "it's a no brainer, it's a no brainer." Asshole, I can take care of my cars. Thanks.

And this thread was far from useless. I was that excited too, except I didn't have as long as a wait as you did. I went to the dealership, said I wanted Hot Lava or Argento (Hot Lava was my first choice). Sales manager called me back a week later said "Great news. We got a Hot Lava coming in from NJ." Sold my car and signed off on the paperwork a few weeks later. Haven't looked back.

I went to school with the finance guys son, so I've known him and his family for a while now so he didn't even try with the gap, plus I had $15k to put down which helped

125k mile warranty was all I added.

I got the gap insurance on mine...

I had a 2005 Corolla a couple year ago. I almost had it paid off. Like 8k. It had 160k+ miles on it. I rear-ended a girl on the expressway. She was charged with failure to maintain lane. But totaled my car. The insurance company was only going to pay $4k for the car, which I would have had to pay the other lump sum. The gap paid the rest and I got $500 back from the gap insurance.

That being said, I opted for it again. But I put 3k down on my car. Plus traded my X Runner in. They gave me 8k for my X Runner and it had 155k+ miles on it. I think I did pretty good on it.
