Is anyone running 265s on this set up? with coils obviously. Is it just me, but is the 255s still leave a little bit of room between the rim and wall?

I'm running 265/35/18 in the rear. there's still room between the rim and the sidewall - that's just the design of the rim. the rim will always 'poke' out a bit from the sidewall of the tire unless your tire has rim protectors/scuff guards.

Thanks! Can 265 fit square? And do you have any close ups of how it sits?

So guys, I have read thru this thread completely, and am still unclear. I hear some people say I can and Some say I cannot run the setup I want to run on a fully stock suspension. (I want to avoid purchasing coil-overs and control arms)

18x9.5x40 all around on either

245/40/18
or
255/40/18

Anyone clarify for a newb?

Not 100% sure on that either but if you want that wheel size for the concave you can go for the 18x8.5 +42 that have the concave face as well and will weigh less and are guranteed to fit on stock struts

If you want to kill your stock struts and springs go for it. It will rub on stock suspension and wouldn't reccomend it. Camber will be bad as well, then again not all cars are created equal.. Coilovers I do reccomend young skywalka.

Looking for one in Southern California (Preferably in San Diego, but can go anywhere between SD, OC, & LA). TIA!

I switched it out to the 9.5s in the back and the 8.5 face2s up front, hoping that does not cause as severe issues that you point out.

Special thanks to dudes like Hayashi and JoeBoxer for helping me out choose which size tires to get.

Hope to see you all soon at Irvine and Crossroad meets. Wanna cough up some new mods and ideas from you guys. Next mod is Perrin catback exhaust, filter, and inlet tube from Mike @ teamczp.com

Fitment is bang on. BANG ON.

Can I ask why you ran with lower control arms? Could you not achieve that flush look without?

Yes you can fit it, I have an inch drop. I'm not at home, right now, but this is the best I can do

I got my fenders front and rear, rolled.

Alignment settings are -2 Front, -1.5 Rear, if I remember.

Hi All,

I'm getting the 18x9.5 all around and wanting to do research on tires. For right now Planning on wearing out stock suspension. I don't want to have to stretch the tires and have excess wheel showing, rather I'd like to get tires that covers the whole rim, preferably even giving some excess sidewall for wheel protection.

However of course with stock body and suspension what's the widest tires can these fit?

A.) For size 255: seems to be the neutral not too narrow - too wide. What height? 255/35...255/40? What brand of tires, recommendations, experiences, pics?

B.) Would 265 width fit? what height treadwall...265/35? Would it fit stock? don't mind if have to roll fenders, doesn't seem like its that hard?
