Who cares about Autoweek. As long as Top Gear and Chris Harris said it's good then it's good. No one else matters.

I wouldn't say it's a great review. IMO, the FA20 is a good engine, delivering good power/torque while maintaining good fuel economy. More importantly, the engine works in part with the overall deign of the suspension and chassis, yielding the fun factor in this car. An inline four / V6 / straight 6 may distort the "good balance" the FRS/BRZ delivers. I don't follow Toyota much these days so I am not sure what good 2.0 liter engines they have under their belt these days.

Although there is the infamous torque dip (more like plateau), but for regular in town driving, it gave enough torque below 4000 RPM...

In all, nothing is perfect but what Toyota/Subaru has done with the 86/FRS/BRZ is greatly appreciated by me, everyday.
