Agree, the CR-Z was the car I traded in for the BRZ. I don't miss how slow it was and I don't miss not being able to see out the damn thing. Hated the rear suspension too, how it would bounce over bumps instead of absorbing them like cars with multilink rear suspension.

Actually, yes, I was cross shopping used FD's with the twins. But it was easier to trade in the CRZ to a dealer than to find a buyer for it.

huh? most hybrids don't use the electic motor on the highway, and the CR-Z doesn't unless you floor it.

The RX8 is a great chassis let down by it's engine and looks that date it. The FD RX7 is so classic looking it's a bit sad that Mazda went the funky weird route on the 8.

I would still rock one if it weren't for the piss poor fuel economy and power mod unfriendliness.

Actually it can and it does. Honda uses it's IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) with squishes a little electric motor between the engine and the transmission. This little motor assists output from the wheezing engine to various degrees depending on mode (Sport / Normal / Eco) and throttle input.

The CR-Z does not have a "electric only" mode like a Prius. For how the Hybrid system is designed in this car it can be tapped almost anytime.
