Exactly. They wouldnt do as small a change as have a different plastic for each car. It would also cost the company and us a lot more HJs to have a different plastic or wrap in leather - A lot more than the difference in prices between cars.

You can see where the differences are in the FR-S vs the GT (the Alcantara around the center console and door speakers)

Granted we don't know if this is 100% production pictured

It's a different "market" when Toyota created/made SCION ...I can see why they have the differences they do

I went over the weekend to get my TC serviced, and ran into my sales friend who sold me my current car. He told me that most dealers probably wont realistically start seeing their cars come in until June or July, give or take. Has anyone else heard more on the release date in the US?

I like it! Sure we all want the bells and whistle that we see on other cars, start push button, dual climate control, heated seats, hid light etc. But Lets not forget what this car is all about an affordable rear wheel drive car. For someone who drives a AE86 on a daily basis this is more than i can ask for. My only issue, the badge!

What would happen IF Scion decided that there would be a Premium FR-S and it came with the same interior setup? Umm...they would put a hole in Subaru's buying demographic that's what. Go look at the Pole on here of the FR-S vs BRZ...it's a land slide in favor of FR-S. So, if the FR-S had the same interior...who would buy the BRZ? There are some who are straight brand loyal, but I don't think there are enough that it would make it fair to Subaru if FR-S came with a Premium setup standard. The BRZ sales would be trailing the FR-S...at least based on the Pole on this site it would.
Exactly! It may sound silly but I really like the Toyota/Scion bumper/headlights and dislike the Subaru's. However, I want the luxuries of the Subaru/Toyota. I fear I will have to make a choice between luxury and style. And I'm the type of shopper who won't buy something unless I get the options I want. I don't compromise on things like color.

It annoys me that companies limit customer options so much. Let US decide what we want! Generally, the more options the better. Choice is what America is all about (at least it was); that's why so many people like the Android and Windows platforms... but I digress.

So I really hope Scion decides to offer at least the HID/LED headlights and leather/Alcantara seats. According to a Scion rep, they're already stripping the red stitching so it's probably going to end up looking very bland and cheap inside after Scion gets through with it. It could even look ghetto/ricer. For example, in the official sample picture of the white FR-S with HID's, the headlamps were smoked/blacked out! Ugh, just quite messing with it... keep it like the Toyota!

Oh, and the people who say, "You can just have an aftermarket add leather," I disagree. I used to work for a dealer and all the leather jobs I saw were disappointing at best. They were always a little loose and never looked or felt quite right.
