Yeah, I don't really understand the guys on here that take the time to put the VSC into sport mode when they're on the way to the grocery just tooling around town. What possible "fun" is that enabling on city streets with traffic, stoplights, etc. Don't drive like a 16 y.o. in a civic with a fart can. Nobody likes those guys.

im surprised just having it in sport broke your tires loose like that. Mine does not do that. sport mode does not turn off traction control it just makes it less intrusive. Maybe you gave it more gas then you thought, or hit some oil.

Actually if I recall Sport mode Does turn off the traction control, but it does not turn off the VSC, puts it into a less intrusive mode. So if you're spinning the tires in a straight line it'll let you go crazy, but when it detects enough yaw then it'll start trying to limit things.

Haven't really experimented, I only did my first autocross run forgetting to turn it off and it was awful. I only had a chance to hit the traction control button as I left the line & remembered so VSC was on full.

Sport mode essentially does nothing but let you hold the gear longer and turns overdrive off it does NOTHING absolutely nothing to stability and traction control. They're are the two switches on the center console begin the shifter vsc sport lets you break the car slightly loose while still allowing the computer to control power to the wheels to also break the car loose you need to just push the traction button. If you hold the traction control button down for 5 seconds as well as pushing the vsc you will kill any stability and traction control in the car. Although it doesn't totally kill the traction it'll let you get the car sideways nicely and keep it a very fun predictable car

Were you under the impression that the nanny aid known as Traction Control completely eliminated spinning out? The sooner you learn that isn't the case, the better off you will be. Anti-lock brakes also aren't 100%...never put full faith in automobile gadgets.

Sorry, I meant VSC Sport mode, I have a manual so don't have the tranny sport mode.
To turn off all traction & stabilitty, hold down just the traction control button for about 3 sec. no need the VSC sport button. VSC is really frustrating when you're expecting things to happen and it intervenes.

No worries just clarifying I kinda figured you may have meant that haha just had to make sure! Vsc is very frustrating when it decides I shouldn't have fun here or there.. Needless to say since the test drive the nannies have been killed unless the roads are wet even then I don't drive like an asshat

This happens when I do it on purpose. Make sure you know the dangers of a RWD car, especially in the rain. The rear can kick out so fast...
