Omg stupid drivers

Was driving 280S earlier in rush hour, and it wasn't too bad till I got stuck behind this green corolla going 65mph. Then I noticed traffic about half a mile ahead of us had slowed to a crawl. What does the guy in front of me do?

He stomps on his brakes as soon as he realizes the traffic is there...except he stomps on them probably several hundred feet early rather than gradually slowing down.

I almost hit him even though I was slowing down and at least two car lengths behind.

Oh, I like that when paired with the stock header and front pipe. A little too raspy over 4K with the full exhaust. I am a little confused as to why the video title and text in the video says FR-S when it's a BRZ, but whatever.

Yeah, it sounds a lot quieter than the V1 Hi-Power did, despite them both having 3" piping.

I really like the look of the V1, just wish it was 2.5" instead of 3". The V2 is cool too I guess, even though it's not really visible from the back since it's tucked up underneath and coated black.

I really wish HKS would offer both the burned blue and standard SS tips. Not a fan of the blue tips.

I wonder how it would look with the burned tip removed or if you could find a replacement tip easily.

I recently had a vendor check with HKS Japan to see if standard tips were available for the Hi Power V1 and was informed that "unfortunately HKS does not sell tips alone"

Omg that.....spoke to me in ways I can't explain.

It sounded pretty nice, but I bet it's pretty loud IRL compared to just a video on youtube.

I still like having dual exit exhaust though and I don't want to be more than medium-ish loud.

Hahah, then you definitely don't want a 3" exhaust like that HKS.

Just closing the loop on this for anyone who cares. Got my car back today finally. So now my car shifts again. Took it from Livermore Subaru, and ran down to Patterson -> Del Puerto -> Mines -> Livermore. Good run, shifts are feeling good and smooth. I just hope it lasts. lol. See everyone at the Dublin Meet tonight!

After Wednesday, they are nonexistent. Also, it feels like the shifter springs are gone. It seriously feels like moving a broken arm around in the socket. It can shift into everything except 1st and 2nd. However the lever still just flops around, even when in gear.

Livermore Subaru was great and took it in immediately. They also gave me a loaner. Unfortunately, they're so backed up, they said it'd be Monday before they could even look at it. I'm thinking it won't take long to diagnose. Considering all you have to do is just touch the lever and you know it's jacked.

Seriously this is a BRAND NEW (supposedly) transmission. I just got it, literally a week ago. What the actual flippin flippity flip!?

Kudos to Livermore Subaru's customer service, though. I had an appointment for Monday (which I made when I noticed a problem, but before the transmission completely crapped the bed), but when I called to see if I could bring it in earlier, they accommodated me. Even though they can't get to it until Monday, they took it in and gave me a loaner. Personally, they've treated my wife and I very well.

Hopefully they'll be able to get this sorted out quickly.

Just for context of how bad this car's luck has been lately: I got backed into in May (week-long stay at an auto-body shop). I got hit in the passenger rear quarter panel this past Saturday (extremely little damage though), and transmission problems started on Tuesday. So I can't even get a quote to get the panel repainted until I get the car back which isn't going to be at least until Monday or Tuesday.

My poor car....

My Tomei 60S is around 90dB, and around $1k, and very loud at 6k RPM.
Super light if you guys wanna lighter single exhaust that isn't a track pipe.

I just hit 35k yesterday! Still tire shopping, man MPSS are expensive. Wheels were $1.8k but tires are $900-1000 with labor from Costco.

The $700 is rare, think they're going towards their new citi visa card bonuses. Meaning only those card holders have the discount/visa gift card. Also, is that after labor? I want TPMS and balance.
