Had these on my tC for a while. Decent low rolling resistance tire.
Nice. Not a bad price, but honestly, I haven't even looked up tire prices yet, just reviews and such. That Yoko is the heaviest out of the ones I was looking at (19 lbs vs 17 and 18 iirc). lol

Compound by far out weighs (no pun intended) overall weight. Unless you have carbon fiber wheels, I don't think you should even consider it. Get the best tire compound you can get for the budget you have.

Their prices were generally pretty competitive. Once I decide on a tire, maybe I'll look at Tire Rack's prices to see if they're lower.

Rotational mass on a car that has 106 hp. LOL.

I'm not necessarily looking for the best grip (I don't want to have to fight the car on onramps or cross winds, etc tho). My schedule changed, so I have tomorrow off to research some more.

If you can do a double blind A/B test of two tires that weigh one pound different than each other and reliably and accurately tell me you can feel the difference and name which tire weight it is, I will award you with several hundred dollars cash.

I had Yoko Parada Spec-2, or what ever they were called back when I had my first Yaris. Great tire (best wet and dry tire I've had), but extremely noisy. I don't think I'd want to deal with the tire noise, so that's why I'm looking at GT AS tires. haha

I'm sure I'll see a small mpg difference, but it seems like the newer tires with the new LR compounds (as mentioned) negate tire weight (although the 17 and 18 lbs I was referenced earlier are LR tires).

What benefit is there to using the breather plate? Just helps cool things off?
