The 2017 Auto uses the same filter as the 2013 to 2016 cars (both auto and manual). The 2017 manual uses a different design.

I'm a fan of K&N. I have the drop in in the FRS and the Yaris.

If you do your own maintenance I suggest the Fumoto Valve like @PMok mentioned. Makes oil changes so much quicker.
I completely forgot the intake box was changed for 2017.

Oooh. Thought I'd heard that but forgot the specifics. Thanks for letting me know!

Dang, I forgot that too. K&N had been the one I was looking into a long ways ago. Maybe I'll send them an email and see if there are any updates.

But unfortunately that probably rules it out on the Amazon side.

Just hang onto the gift card until you hear back from them with the correct filter model number.

Replaced the reverse lights (again because of different taillights) in the Yaris.

What brand of oil do you guys use? Neal did my last oil change and used Amsoil, but I can't find a good place to buy it.

Also, is it worth it to use touch up paint on my front bumper, or should I just leave it be?

Kind of unsure what to do right now.

My sales guy told me to fill out one of the financing applications online and gave me a link to the dealer website page for that.

Problem is the website for the financing application isn't secure (no secure certificate) and they want all the usual private details, like SSN and other stuff.

I don't feel comfortable submitting like that. There must be another way, right?

If you are non comfortable, I wouldn't fill it out. Make sure your sales guy is aware of the issue. Let him know that you would like some form of secure website or file transfer or else you are walking. I had a similar situation when purchasing my current car. The dealer I was working with was a small town dealer and never even heard of secure file transfer. I'd like to think I played a part in bringing them into the 20th century.

Haha, this is for the 2017 BRZ with performance package, which had a suuuper long wait (my order took 4 months), but OTOH I got a really surprisingly good deal.

So I'd definitely prefer not to walk on it.

My hope is they have a better, secure website to do it on. Worst-case scenario I can just come in to the dealer in person and do an application on-site directly through their finance office.

Just kind of surprised they don't even make sure their page for such sensitive info is actually fully secure. I checked another Subaru dealer's website and they have the same thing.

Go in to the dealership and fill out the app in person. Or have him mail you the paper form.
Another option, is to go to your bank or shop for your own financing deal so you are pre-approved before you go in to buy. Credit unions often have the best rates that banks and dealerships have a hard time matching, if you're a member of any try there first. They may still want you to fill out some forms at the dealership though.

The brace is a real subtle difference... some say it's about the same effect on the brake feel as adding stainless steel brake lines. I'd say it's less than that, but after you see the deflection data from Grimmspeed it still made it worthwhile to get it for me. It's about the same cost as the SS lines, but far easier to install haha.

I just use Mobil1. I did a few UOAs and never had an issue even on extended intervals. I don't think this car is very picky if just DD/canyon runs.

Just go in to the dealer to fill it out. If the dealer is super far away for some reason just have them mail it. I bought a car in Oregon and had it all done via FedEx (make sure they include a return envelope/label when they send it to you).

Right now I'm running the same as you, AMSOIL OE 0W-20. Before that I was running Eneos 0W-20 and Eneos Sustina 0W-20.

I have 6 quarts of Torco SR1 0W-20 ready to change to next: http://torcousa.com/torco_product/sr-1.html
