yeah I could never afford the Thrustmaster sticks either... had to "settle" for some other no-name brands or a Logitech.

But you really knew you were hardcore into flight sims when you bought the whole HOTAS setup, with the separate throttle control...

Maybe someone who has an OFT and done a custom tune with Shiv can answer this.

I was wondering how long does the process of getting a custom tune from Shiv take. I purchased and have been in contact with Shiv but all he has asked were some basic condition/model of my FR-S. I'm just curious as to how long it took to receive a baseline tune as my FR-S pretty much been sitting for a week.

Thanks.

So... I just got a call from my Ford dealer that my Focus RS order is coming up and getting ready to be added to the manufacturing cue in Germany, meaning my deposit check will be cashed and applied to the purchase of the car. Should I cancel or go ahead with it?

I haven't even driven the thing and all this hype has me a bit worried. Its kinda like our cars 3 years ago, all the hype inflated prices then once it dies down, issues get more visible, reviewers and owners get over themselves and actually start criticizing the car then dealers can't even get rid of them (although I don't think it will be a problem since its a limited run).

In an ideal world, I'd keep the BRZ, but I'll be needing a larger car soon.

Can you get some sort of written and/or signed agreement that says they will be selling you the car for MSRP?

Ya, trying to make sure I get something like that before going ahead with it. If not, easy enough to cancel.

Go to Ford Fairfield. They're part of my auto group. We don't do "market adjustments" and will either sell limited edition cars at MSRP or 25/50 bucks off.

Nooooooo...

wait, does that mean I can consider rocking gold wheels soon?

when I placed the order for my BRZ I had 3 conditions... which the dealership agreed to:
1) sell at an agreed upon price;
2) no drilling front bumper for front plate;
3) no more than 30 miles on the odo.
any of those broken, I had the right to bail or wait for a new car to arrive at same conditions.
