Beyond the urge to drive I personally hate the MT on this car stock and would kill myself if I had to commute in it especially if there was bah area traffic involved. Makes me glad I got the AT

What's wrong with the MT? One of the better MT's (clutch and shifter-wise) I've driven. I would go bonkers if I had to do my commute in a Corolla or tC manual. Utterly numb/rubbery feel.

Opposite to me. Terrible feel in the clutch and the shifter feel sucked. But I also have only had a BMW, a WRX with short shifter and bushings, and an STi. All were much better imo so could just be relative

But there is a guy in socal that makes cuatom short shifters for this car that are night and day. Was amazing in the 10 minutes I test drove. They are $$$ but would definitely get it if I had an MT

Im sure shifter bushings and springs as well as clutch adjustments would help for small cost but don't have any experiance with it really.

Thats why mine is a weekend car lol. Driving the FRS in traffic is a bitch. The clutch engagment is shitty and Ive commuted in manuals before..but the FRS is not one..MT for the win though as a toy (obviously)

Is commuting in the AT as bad as you guys are talking about with the MT?

Seems like it'd be a more chill way to go while still having some flexibility for fun drives.

LOL. I got my Pickup as my
Hopin to get my other soon to get my 5.3 LM7/T56 into soon..
My 94 Toyota Pickup that had my 5.3 mocked up into I ended up selling to a friend who is turning it into a crawler. I decided i want a regular cab for LS swap after debating for 5 months.

Not anymore then general commuting shit. I find the car pretty comfy with good A/C and heat. Little noisy with creaks and road noise but not bad (though Im used to noisy car #bcuzSubaru). Just drop it in "D" and hope it was used later haha #lazylife

edit: I also have the 2nd most miles in Norcal im pretty sure behind Blaine (he's over 100k) as I just hit 94k miles. Been to LA a dozen times, Vegas, Tahoe/Reno and spent a year commuting 150 miles per day. Now I only commute 50-60 miles a day.

Creaks and road noise? I think I'm pretty much immune to those from riding the bus, Caltrain, or Bart everywhere hahaha. Shouldn't be too bad.

Quite a few miles you've got there. Sounds pretty chill though.
