Thinking of switching from my infamous straight pipe back to stock catback and putting an electric cutout on the front pipe with the exhaust exiting out the side. Thoughts?

Keep the setup that you have now. Switching to a stock exhaust w/ electric cutout would imply that you give a fuck about being quiet at certain times, which goes against the phrase in your forum signature.

The only reason i am thinking of switching is that i dont want to walk out and find my car keyed from having to start it up in an appartment complex every morning at 4:30. that and so my wife can stop complaining about how loud it is. 99% of the time the cutouts would be open.

So here's a recent track day video, don't think much of the driving as I'm all stock and ran into a lot of traffic out there. Wanted to put this on Youtube mostly cause I was testing using an external mic for the exhaust.

Ah... track days... I remember those I miss T-hill, maybe I'll try to squeeze one in before the season is over.

Clean lines as usual Chris! Mic sounds like it worked out well. What exhaust are you running these days?

Let me know if you decide to do a track day. I don't think there are many left at Thunderhill this year fyi.

I was pleased with the results from using an external mic, certainly sounds better than the usual wind noise you get from the GoPro. I'm running the TF-Works street catback, basically a straight pipe with 2 resonators. Love the sound though.

I can't comprehend this, it's California, Laguna Seca is lovely on a dry January day, although the runoff areas weren't groomed. I assume Thill and Sonoma would be just as grand.

Haha, its just that T-hill is my favorite track of the 3 nearby and with family duties, I only get a few "daddy day-off's". Plus, brownie points are void at the end of the year, so I gotta use em or lose em lol.
