Alright, so I was jumping the gun a bit on this tire warranty thing thinking I could get them replaced sooner than later. I'm at 4/32nds. The tire isn't legally at it's "end of life" until 2/32nds so Michelin isn't going to give me a pro-rated discount towards new tires. I'm going to have to wait a bit longer (gives me more time to pick up some wheels too?). I'll will update again when ever that happens :P

If you're as easy on your twin as I am on mine then you shouldn't have this problem. But if you're not, then lookie here:

FR-S had this tranny/diff gunk at 22K miles (top pic) vs 235K miles tranny gunk on '03 GMC Envoy (bottom pic) that left me stranded 2 miles from home. R&R'ed the tranny pan oil and filter and it's good to go again. Current owners should really get a full flush of the tranny because I don't think 4 quarts can displace 12-14 quarts the transmission takes.

With just ~8K miles on the FRS' current diff/tranny Motul 75w90 oil and a score from CSG, it's getting new Motul diff/tranny oil. 8K miles...is it necessary, is it overkill? You bet it is. Then again, it's cheap insurance for this year's worth of easy driving haha

I've wondered this too. But maybe what they're thinking is, "why do Americans always talk like they're singing?"

I think its like 50 miles. And I think it will stay on past then until the car is turned back on again after passing that point (or whatever the point is)
