I'm really not sure. My wife daily drives the car, so I don't really get to check it out too much. I'll have to take a look at the suspension/wheel well later with an LED flashlight.

Based on your description (inner tire wear) I was gonna suggest toe or camber wear...

...^But I like Garfull's answer better, that much wear along the sides at such a narrow band looks to me like it due to rubbing against something. My only other guess would be maybe the car is over loaded (and no, I'm not speaking ill about your dear wife )?

lol Bryan!

I looked earlier tonight and ran my hand along the inside of the tire on top and nothing was even remotely close to rubbing against it. I have to imagine it's just a bad alignment and/or some sort of failure of the old tire. I'll take it in on the 20th for an alignment and then keep an eye on it after that.

Just got new tires put on today so I would hate to have it happen to those as well.

North bay folks and east bay folks. Be careful out there. Storm is no joke. Just drove to work from San Jose to San Mateo and San Mateo is getting pretty ugly.

Drove from Vallejo to San Rafael. Parts of 101 are getting flooded. Drive carefully people! I was going up a hill on 101 with all the rain (in 6th gear), I floored it and the car was still slowing down.

The road in front of my place was flooded this morning. I was afraid I was going to hydrolock the engine getting out of my driveway. Ugh.

That's not good. Did you attempt to go out?
