Should have quoted you when I quoted Blaine as well. JDM airbaghas a single stage stage vs. dual stage charge. You just keep the charge that came in the USDM car and install it in the 86 airbag.

A cell phone in the pocket? Seriously, when you're getting that worried, it's time to look at part time care, full time care, moving in, or a rest home. As my grandma said, getting old sucks.

We've tried both life alert (of "Help, I've fallen and can't get up" tv commercial fame) and bay alarm medical. Life alert was ok, but had a really short range from the home base unit (my grandma liked working in the back yard). We ended up going with bay alarm medical since we got a package deal along with home security, etc. Big plus with bay alarm was that they had operators that spoke tagalog/filipino (grandma hesitated using life alert because of having to speak english).

^The options I mentioned were good when she was still independent and was living alone. It was just a good "back-up" plan if she did need it. Ultimately, we ended up having family move-in with her when her Alzheimers got worse until her last days (RIP Lola, we miss you)

this would be phase 2. my mom is still independent enough to get around but she needs a backup. she's also still stubborn enough not to want to move or have in home help.

thanks for the info. i was looking into bay alarm as well and i'm leaning towards them now too especially since they support multiple languages.

There are cell phones with easy-dial buttons. I think I saw some at Sears. Those would work for an emergency. It's important to call every day and maybe have someone visit every day. Possibly twice a day. My parents are younger than yours, I'm guessing, but I've built them a separate apartment at our house. Eventually, we'll be able to take care of them relatively easily.

Yup, like jsimons7777 said they have phones like kid phones with big buttons that can only call 3-5 numbers. And an emergency number if needed. Put it on a lanyard and it's the same thing but works out side of just being home. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417539389.516765.jpg

there's a similar thread on the facebook group that's got heads shaking and tongues wagging... basically boiled down to the statement, "I want to learn about going to the track, but most importantly, my car's gotta look DOPE."

Yeah, I was reading the one on ours. Or are you talking about a different group? Haha
