Really? Do you have a family? What do you need 4-doors for?!!?!? Also it doesn't snow in the bay... you don't need AWD.

The BRZ will be cheaper to run per mile than the STi easily, that's without even factoring in the cost of changing vehicles...

I know, but sometimes with friends or family it's nice to be the one who drives places, at this point I don't ever get to drive my car with anyone in it. As for AWD, it's fun in the corners, I know it doesn't snow in the bay, but being able to mash the go-pedal midway through a corner and not worry about the back end breaking loose is nice sometimes.

As for this Sti debate, I think @finch1750 settled it for me. Laundry list of problems that turbocharged cars usually have, all the rattles that I forgot about, crappy bolstering on the seats, I think I'll stick with the BRZ.

This is SOOOOOO false. AWD cars push like a dump truck on edge under power. Especially ones with more than stock power. You already have the car made for fun on the corners you fool! I guess it's fun in the corners if you want to go slow around them and just accelerate fast after you go around the corner.

I don't know, its all in his definition of "fun in the corners" I guess. Some people like the G's they get from grip (like the BRZ) while some people like the kick they get from corner-exit (WRX or any turbo really). Sure it plows pretty bad if you take a regular line, but I happen to enjoy the sensation of weight transfer I got from my wrx going into the corner, turn-in just enough to upset the balance, then feeling the front tires pull me out of trouble on exit (I always picture my dog, with her front paws struggling for traction on the slippery kitchen floor as she eagerly comes to greet me when I get home lol)

Ok, have fun eating my dust! Maybe it's the racecar driver in me but the car the corners fastest is the faster car to me.

I want a high HP WRX/STi as much as the next guy, but not if it's my only car. The FR-S is a cheaper to run DD and a better racecar all at the same time.

I knew the twins would look sick with a roof scoop. You must do that and let me live out my subaru rally wants vicariously through you! Haha

Man. I JUST sold my 04 WRX Wagon like 4 months ago. 72k miles, 2nd owner. I actually pretty much just daily drove it. Never riced it or did anything crazy. Spun the turbo up every once in a while to get to 70mph. It was lowered on pro-drive springs and the end links and shocks were taking a dump, but otherwise in good condition. Let it go for $7k.

That vehicle looks awful. This is why Toyota needs to do the styling. Ugh BAD SUBARU.
