It seems pretty easy to make. Black paint, sheet metal and some rivets.

I would be more concerned about getting a real diffuser or something to eliminate the drag/chute effect you get when removing the OEM muffler and leaving that big void in front of the rear bumper/diffuser. One of the reasons I've stayed stock exhaust -- as others have noted it's designed to be part of the underbody acting as a diffuser of sorts. Covering the exit hole on one side won't help much with that (but I understand the aesthetic benefits). For me it's one of those things where, if I can't afford to go all the way (remove stock muffler, add underbody diffuser/modify rear bumper to correct the aero issue that results), better to stay stock.

I figured as much. Maybe I should just yelp metal fab shops? or checking with the local muffler shop may be good idea?

Eh. I need sound. Lol. This is temporary for me as I just couldn't pass on the price. I'm going to go either Nameless of possibly FT86Speedfactory in the end. Plus I'm waiting the street version of the driveway labs diffuser myself.

Beyond that this car isn't about extracting the most out of it for me right now (or in the near future either). Just what I want aesthetically with something fun to drive. Maybe eventually I will get more serious, but not while it's my only DD.

Well, actually it's only sheet metal. So you can DIY if you want . Draw out where you want to cut and cut it with metal shears or a dremel. Drill out your mounts and use screws instead of the rivets. Paint black and your done. Almost easier than an oil change. Lol

Just rolled over 44K this morning on my way back from my girls place in SF! I also have over 150 autoX runs on the car between me and co-drivers. I've shredded 5 sets of tires (4 autoX and 1 DD) not including the stock tire I sold after 3K miles...

Damn. Didnt know how easy as I have never done metal work of any kind. Guess its finnally time to buy a dremel. Self tapping screws should do the trick, yeah?

Yup, lowes or Home Depot. If you don't want to buy tools, just buy the material. I have tools. You provide the labor. I'm also a hour distance away from you so you'll have to account for travel time too. It should be no more than $5-$10 in material. $20 in gas traveling to and from. Lol

This explains why you're not on the forums much any longer, and why you were dressed super fancy when I saw you yesterday? Looked like you were sporting shirt and tie.

Yeah, I should be around. I might sleep in a little but other than that. Nothing going on. We'll see what tools you want to use before you buy supplies. Lowes is down the street anyways,
