@Clipdat; looks clean
. Allows enjoyed that look with this car's profile. Yeah, always fun to do that. Baffled how much it affected, I thought you had something else that was affecting that. PITA but worth it IMO. How's the other stuff too - we have 2 more days before it expires lmao.

I picked up a GoPro so I can record my drives and decided to mount it and give it a try on my way to the airshow today...
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujkf1xsGQgc"]Playing with new GoPro on my way to an airshow.... - YouTube[/ame] The suction cup failed about 15min into the drive... maybe from heat? Maybe because I didn't clean the cup/window enough (didn't have alcohol)? Was stuck in traffic for 2 hours anyway so didn't really matter too much. Airshow wasn't too bad. @BigFatFlip were you able to make it? One of many pictures:

hmmm dunno why your suction cup failed... mine was stuck to the inside of my windshield for days and held up just fine today being out all day driving. I guess yeah make sure your window is clean and put pressure on the cup when you lock it down.
so bummed there won't be SF Fleet Week airshow this year... here are some shots I took from a past show. ![]() ![]()

Interesting story from earlier tonight. I got new wheels and tires yesterday so I spent ~3 hours detailing my car this afternoon so I could go take some pics. I rinsed, foam bathed, rinsed, washed, clayed, and then waxed. After all this manual labor I was ready for a victory drive!! Call me selfish, but sometimes I like to drive around with a clean car trying to see how many looks I can get. Sadly I didn't get that many, but I did get a thumbs up from a passenger of a Hyundai Genesis 2.0T coupe - sweet!
As I was getting ready to head back to my place, I took off rather spiritedly from a stop light. As I went through 1st, 2nd and then 3rd, I looked down and I was going 50 or so. I remarked to myself "Wow, these wheels and tires really feel great, for some reason the car feels faster than I remember it!". So as I'm coasting down from 50 to 40, 35, 30, I look over and see an Alameda cop sitting on the opposite side of the road - as soon as I pass him I realize what's about to happen and just pull over immediately and shut off the engine. Sure enough I look in the rear view and see him flipping around and flashing his lights as he pulls up behind me. I'm already feeling like an idiot at this point, I was embarrassed that I allowed my lead foot to get the best of me and was hot dogging it in an 25mph zone. He came up to my door and I popped open the door (hey, just washed it, I don't want window streaks..), and he said "I just watched you hit 50mph... The speed limit is 25!". I shook my head and said "I know, I've lived in Alameda for the past 7 years, I don't know why I was going so fast." and explained how I had just gotten new wheels the day before and had just washed the car and was out for a victory drive but apparently had gotten too excited. He explained how they've gotten a ton of calls for speeding in the area recently and asked to see my license, registration and insurance. As I was about to hand over my proof of insurance I noticed that for some reason I had the previous card on me stating I only had coverage through August. Bizarre since I thought I had tossed the old card and put the new one in my wallet when they sent it last time. When he saw this he said "Tell you what, I can either give you a regular speeding citation or I can write you a $25 fix it ticket for not having proof of insurance on you - what will it be?" Astounded, I reiterated that I did in fact have insurance coverage but that of course I would take the fix it ticket instead. After about 5 minutes he walked back to my car and had me sign off on the fix it ticket, and said "If you want speed, go do it in Oakland where they don't care - just don't do it here." I thanked him profusely for his generosity in this matter and he said "Thank you for being honest, and not being an asshole - it goes a long way. Just realize, not everyone is as nice as me, so please watch your speed around here... Nice car.." - I thanked him again and headed home. So how about that? An interaction with law enforcement that turned out positive, how lucky did I get?!

Moral of the story, if you give the guy a hard time then they will give you a hard time back. If you realize what you did, the worst he can do is give you the ticket you deserved for the moment.

Honesty and respect will go a long way for sure. However, the traffic officers in my building (I work in a police station) always tell me that if they have to pull someone over when it's raining, your ass is toast.
The moral of the story is that if you get pulled over in the rain, be very nice

I know that feel bro I've found that Alameda cops are usually cool, but since its basically one big residential island, they really have to be strict about it, plus I bet they get bored for the lack of "action".

Well, just installed my Revworks header and holy crap! It feels like a different car. Soo nice to hear that uel rumble again. And it got rid of the drone at 2.5k rpm that I was having, though it drones on the freeway more now. Took a few videos which I'll probably be posting tomorrow.
