I had a few clunks when I swapped my springs. One time driving slow around my storage place, I thought I ran over something. The fronts also clunk when turning hard because they twist a bit then reseat. At least that's what I've read. I haven't heard any clunks lately, 3+ months after install. I just hear the normal crickets and rear body creaking.

I would just look under the car and see how they've settled. How low did you go?

I do notice one of my exhaust tips rattles a bit when it's just sitting parked idling so I am gonna try and tighten that up and see if that helps. Hope it's not tied to the springs but if not that's the next culprit.
It can be the metal overlapping where the back seat is on top in the trunk. I've read you can use sealer or oil or even cardboard to quiet it. Also the rear license place can rattle and bump against the trunk.. That reminds me I want to try fixing that

Hrm... possible end-link knock from a potential misalignment from putting the shocks on/off?

The spring rotation mentioned above me usually only happens on the front wheels since you're turning. I don't get thumping.

When are you pirmarily hearing the thumps? What are the driving conditions and angles, etc. The reason I ask is that sometimes if I go over an elevation change (pulling into a driveway angled) the rears will sometimes clunk, and I think it's the one wheel leaving the ground temporarily and then coming back down. I sometimes hear it on bigger bumps in the road like that spot after SJC on 880 S. In the far left lane. If I'm going fast enough on that hump you can definitely feel the wheel hop.

Yeah, its mostly on the side with no load. I guess the suspension being fully decompressed and then being put back down would cause a bit of metal to clunk around.

I have mad clunking in the front of my car right now. Pretty sure it's the top hat on the drivers side. To lazy to investigate. Lol.

Perhaps the nut is loose on the strut? If so, hurry and tighten it before the alignment is off.

i have the same thing happening right now to mine. It sounds like its coming from the front passenger side. I called RS*R last week and told them about it and their sending me out a a new top hat aswell as a new bearing. i should be getting it today.

Car still drives fine. I'm not overly worried. Plus I'm under warranty.
