You let them WASH your CAR?!?! And it wasn't covered with swirl marks when you got it back?? Have the planets aligned? Are we on the brink of the second coming???

Keep checking the bottom of the plate with a clean paper towel, especially after spirited runs where you are frequently above 4k rpm.

They washed the car, but yet it somehow still managed to be slightly dirty haha. .

Blaine, I told you to stop washing your car with that brillo pad, but you didn't listen!

So basically after every DRIVE haha.

Yeah I'm not OCD about the paint getting swirls. Stuff happens.

Consider yourself lucky. I'm still insane about my paint, although less so since it's white this time around vs black.

I'm the same. I explicitly told the dealer, and delivery company when I had mine shipped from Colorado not to wash it. And if I ever take it to the dealer for work, I will ask them to leave it dirty as well. I've seen what they do in those dealer back-lots

Back in highschool, me and a few buddies of mine worked for the local Honda dealer washing cars. We didn't give a flying f*ck! We just hose it down, scrub it down trying to get most of the noticeable stuff (I even remember using my nail or the rag to aggressively rub the hard bird poop, etc. if it wont come off). Needless to say, I feel bad now and have renewed respect.

I used to care about my paint, but now I just see swirls, chips and scratches as "patina", character only my car alone has

Thanks buddy! Yeah definitely give yours a wash so you can look good and represent SWP at the cars & coffee meet tomorrow!

Also I like what you said in the other thread about WRX glory days. I've only ever driven a WRX once, and only like 30 mph but it was sweet. I got reminded of my urge to own one some day when I saw a clean bone stock black bugeye on the street this morning.

Low is coming, RCE Yellows ordered!

I think everyone needs to own a WRX at one point in their life I still find myself looking through craigslist once in a while but then I remember how much "fun" I've had in mine and immediately convince myself that I don't want a used one no matter how clean it looked.

I was pricing out bugeye wagons the other day. Then I was think practically about the dog I want to get soon (Newf) and started looking at FXTs instead. Or should I say what wrx/still parts go onto an fxt. Haha

But I really want another wrx in a few years, as I think my time in this car is making me much more capable of handling awd much better

I think I'm gonna get a 05-06 Leggy GT 5-speed once the FR-S is paid off which should be pretty soon. With the tiny FR-S I want to pair it with something with a decent back seat and ALOT more power/tuning.

The wagon? My buddy had an amazing one. It got flooded during one of the storms 2 years ago. It was very sad times. I saw two nicely modded ones in the area in the past week. Haven't seen any in so long.

Oh shit, there's one for sale for $14k. It's rear bumper is beat though. 86k miles. Unnnnggg. I love that wagon.
