I just spent 3 hours installing strano front sway bar... WTF! All sorts of problems from getting the end links to line up to the bar touching the control arms when I turned... BUT It's on there and I can't wait for autoX this weekend! It also hasn't clunked yet so despite a lengthy install I think it's correct finally.

Nice, congrats. Good luck this weekend.

It took about that long to put the bars, rotors, brakes, and new rear bearing on a 330i last weekend. And the car still had to be towed to the shop. I couldn't fix what the owner had tried to replace. He got fed up with the R&R lol

There's a DIY on the forum by Darren I think that's using retrofit lights.

I'm not good at that baking thing so i'd rather ask a service of somebody that had experience on doing it and pay.

Blaine makes me jealous! haha j/k

Shot in the dark but next weekend or so, I'm replacing my diff/tranny to Motul 300 75w90. Any wrench parties interested, let me know. That said, I can provide the tools, garage, ramps, jacks, etc.

Then I spoke to LPI Racing (Livermore race shop) to provide the Motul. They can generously provide the Motul for a few dollars lesser and available next week.

Then I spoke to Dublin Toyota and ordered 4 crush washers. The crush washers [strongly] recommend are ~$2 each for the differential (x2) and ~$12 each for the tranny (x2). 3 of 4 of the washers are special order - why not in stock or the ~$12 hike...because racecar. No, because $28 in crush washers are a lot cheaper than a potential leaking tranny/diff.

While I'm down there, I would change the oil too but I have my 7500-mile maintenance coming up very soon. So I will skip the oil change (hehe 2 oil changes BEFORE this 7500).

You should of asked the Subaru dealer if its cheaper and not special order.

ahhh man I was just thinking I should do this too. Was going to let Joey do it. But maybe just the differential oil because I heard that is the one that gets really dirty. I just crossed 10K miles coming home on the LV trip. But I forgot about the washers, guess I need those. Any chance you can double up your order? Then we can do them together.

It's not included for free in the 7500 service, at least from this dealership. Oops, you said Subaru dealer. Big UNFORTUNATELY my FRS is not a BRZ...according the nearest Subi dealer from me.

I'll call them back. Yes, diff gets dirty. WTH, why not feel the smoothness thru the whole thing haha.

If my new lines come in by then, you can have the Stoptechs if you want. No charge. They've served me well. You provide the fluid.

So tell them that it's for your friend with a brz and he lives far from the dealer to order them.
