Ideally it would be best to have both... However OP is complaining about the nature of our vehicle (RWD) while only having All-Seasons on.

That being said, driving AWD with less-than appropriate tires ain't gunna cut it either...

Snow tires are for the rich? Do you plan to do any mods to this car?

If you live where it snows you need snow tires

All season = meh at everything and good at nothing

true but once you get traction the car with snow tires will stop faster than the one with all seasons

Nobody said anything about ice. You still get better traction on ice with a winter tire anyway, so I'm not sure what your point is (or lack there of).

Name calling not cool I agree, but seriously you can afford this car, but not a set of snow tires?

I planed on getting snow tires eventually but I did not realize the car would be helpless in 2+" of snow.... Not even my Porsche 944 with no LSD was this helpless

Snow tires are big advantage.

There is a misconception out there, you can not steer or control the car in anyway with zero traction on all 4 tires. Snow tires help give you that traction. Even in drifting there is still traction on the front wheels and even the rears. With no traction you just have to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride, but remember, hands off the wheel before impact.

I remember a story about an officer having his front teeth knocked out when his airbag deployed, catching his hand, and smashing that into his face. No bueno.

Also I have about 90-100lbs of weight in my trunk for traction... Which didn't help
