All I can hope for is that the price can stay true to what's lacking about this car. The cars seem cheaper looking every time I look at them . Hopefully they'll end up being cheap $ wise.

Then this will all make sense.

God I miss the Mk1. Still the best looking to date.

I miss the agressive body lines on the FR-S concept. I feel like the body is so watered down looking, and the headlights and tailights are pretty awful. The production version looks okay like this:

But still, the body lines just aren't as meaningful as the FR-S concept was in my opinion.

The above production model looks pretty damn good imo, reminds me of late 80s/early 90s sports cars with their big wings, small cockpits, and aggressively wide bodies.

Like most production cars, the ride height has greatly increased when compared to the concept version. I'm sure it's all in the name of practicality.

I love the production model, except for that damn side marker at the end of the front bumper where it meets the fender! Its out of place and ruins the flow of the wheel well.

I've always thought the Scion FR-S concept was overwrought and tacky looking.

The MKI concept to be honest hasn't aged well. And I like the 2000GT-inspired C-pillar on the production version a lot more.

The only part that's really a downturn on the GT 86 are those tacky tail lights. The MKI looked a lot cleaner and more aggressive.

The big black plastic turd in the middle of the nose is a giant turn off. Why so many car manufacturers do this now is beyond me.

I actually like the sidemarker, but different strokes for different folks.

To each of his own. I think Cube and Juke have their unique "cool" factors. Aztek, in the other hand, looks awfully ugly from any angle.

What do you mean MKI has not aged well? For many on here, it is still the best looking version (except for the zipp dash).

Agreed, Aztek is the ugliest car ever made.

Production cars never look like concept models. I too liked the more aggressive styling of the MK I and MK II. I prefer the sharper defined lines vs. smooth curves. I think it just leaves more for the aftermarket folks to provide parts and aesthetic looks to fit individual owners tastes. I am just glad they didn't make it look super ugly.
