Congratulations on your engagement Ingen!! My boyfriend proposed to me this past October and he helped me get my FR-S this past Sunday, as an early Christmas/Wedding present. Our parents live in Atlanta, so that is why we are heading there for Christmas. When we drove the FR-S home, I felt like I was proposed to all over again, grinning ear to ear (still grinning 2 days later). I'm hoping we will have some time to go visit the north GA mountains and find some roads. Thanks for the link!!

FINALLY! SOMEONE LIKE ME! Prepare to rock the **** out, man. It's unbelievable.

I can head out on Sunday morning when all the old folks are at church and tear it up. If you put the stability control in sport mode it will let you have fun, but gently gather you up before you try to romance the guard rail. It's flawlessly good for back roads.

As far as incentives, I got mine out the door for MSRP after the 1000 off college rebate on an FR-S. The BRZ has more toys, but I do not know how important they are. They were not important enough to me to justify the ridiculous premiums ($2000 above msrp) and the preposterous wait time (like 8 months) to get my hands on one. I have had my FR-S for 2 months and daily driven it through every weather and I freaking LOVE IT. I have driven the 2012 Mustang GT and I wouldn't trade straight-up. I haven't driven the camaro but I suspect that it would feel like a boat compared to the FR-S.

The twins fit like a glove.... and if they were ANY smaller they'd fit like a condom. Honestly, you sit in it for about 5 minutes and know where the corners are, how it will behave everywhere, and how it will work with YOU. It isn't there as something you have to manhandle, or wrangle, or anything else. It's an extension of you. And it'll do what you tell it.

And you're the only other person I've run in to on here who actually has the roads local to them to enjoy the damned thing. All these socal and florida folks get screwed by geography and traffic. Get one, baby it to 1000 miles and then flog the hell out of it and you'll thank me.

Get a for sale sign too, because unless you're drag racing, your beloved camaro is in trouble when it's competing against an 86 for your heart. Just sayin'
camaro IS heavy, but does NOT handle like a boat! steering is "numb" though!
car is thirsty, but is scary quick! handles beautifully in snow! weight a definite factor.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Cameron's and I am sure yours is great fun to drive.

You will like the frs more though. This is my bet now, for $1.00, that you love the frs more on fun roads than the camaro :p

You sound like me. I kept my Boss as my "weekend" car and got a FR-S as a daily driver. It's been fantastic to drive and with about 1400 miles I have no regrets.
