lol, it had crossed our mind but I think we would be sitting on a pile of them for quite some time.

Maybe when we are settled into our new space, then we can get back to more heavy R&D work.

Moving these past few months have been brutal for us. I'm happy to say that we will never move again!

Do you have any numbers for these cars on 92/93, how long does the build take, and where is your shop located?

Honest ignorant question: Aren't the OEM bearings not holding in a few of the built engines so far when getting close to 20 psi?

I'm interested in the shortblocks as well.

Curious about the OEM bearing question too.

So, you have these short blocks built and ready to go? If I order one, can I get it and send my core back to you after I get it out of the car so as to save time?

I have one of your premium stage 1 turbo kits on order, and if a shortblock were available by the time my kit is ready, I may just spring for the extra cheddar and go big.

We are not expecting to make that kind of power. We just like to over build things just for insurance.

Our shop FRS is still running strong on the stock motor but we are always looking for stronger and more reliable parts.

We will have 10 sets available by friday.

Picture of the FBM Rod vs OEM Rod

Is it just me or does the small end for the wrist pin look smaller in diameter than the factory unit? If so then that means if you use their rods, you'd have to use their pistons as well.

Also any specifics about the rod construction? 4130? 4150? Forged or just shot peened or both? Weights?

We only have results on very poor Canadian 91 pump gas. The worst gas you can possibly buy comes from thunder bay lol. The car would not run without picking up knock so we were forced to lower the compression.

People will be quick to blame the bearing material when there is a failure but, there are many variables that affect the bearing.

A properly balanced, clearance d motor should be able to cool the bearing down and not create friction. Lubrication is key to keeping things happy.

Theoretically, the bearing should never make contact with the parts if the oiling and clearance is good.

The FA20 Heads from factory, comes with very nice ports to begin with. A slight port job and upgraded springs, retainers is all we feel is necessary.

We do have a core here ready to swap. It is about 1.5-2 weeks turn around time. We will refund the core deposit once we receive your block.

Our rods will fit any off the shelf Piston. 4340 heat treated, shot peened, 566 grams

Can you PM a price of sending you the whole motor to get the bottom end built along with the above?
