Back in the day I'm sure they were as my previous Toyota had dealer branded mats. I don't believe this was the case with the 86, however....

I googled car mat manufacturers in SA, there are many companies that will make up the identical mat with the logo embroiled in thicker carpet.
Seems this can be done for under R400 for full set.

Hopefully with all the noise being made Toyota will do something to better the existing mat.

I've had a look and couldn't find any wear on my car's mats. Are you guys wearing high heels or something? (only kidding)

Anyway, I've added this just in case:

Ugly but it should do the job.

I pulled out my driver side mat and brushed up the fibre using an old brush after a good vacuum. Helps a bit.

I have sourced a car mat manufacturer that can make up new 980 gm carpets with the red stitching with the holes for the twist lock.
Heel padding and logo.
Going to meet to discuss options and price.
We could consider a group buy and design the type of logo on the mats.
Any interest?

I have been to see the manufacturer, given my mats in they are cutting stencil to match shape. They gave me the carpet rings to check the lock clips works.
The carpet is black 600gm with backing and plastic piece for the heels.
Options, keep to the OEM look or go with red bind around the outside of the carpet.
Looking at the pic below, this is what the mat looks like.

I am thinking of the 86 piston embroided where the SS is and if you opt to add the 86 plastic tag from your current mat your call.

Price estimated at R400 per set of 4.

Need answer who wants urgent as they will run possibly next week.

Send me PM if you in...
