How can you have a "best of" coilovers list w/o JRZs!!!
Koni and Bilsteins will be coming with their offerings soon. |

If you want good ride quality don't get cheap coilovers. The good stuff can ride as well as stock even with stiffer linear rate springs. It's all about having a good damper, appropriate spring rates for the tires and use, and enough travel to stay off the bumpstops. Anyway, the short answer is that you should just get the KWs and not slam it. |

I am suggesting that 2.5" drop and "quality ride" are mutually exclusive.

Keep in mind all coilovers will need servicing. The words Budget and Coilovers don't work well long term or ride quality.. Also consider where you will have them rebuilt and serviced. Locally? In the USA?
There are a lot of quality brands not on the list. Some that are received very little votes. This is a reflection of the forum experience, not coil over quality. Do yourself a financial favor and buy springs and shocks until you can appreciate and utilize a c/o setup. Peace |

Well, I'm receiving a lot of great feedback and I appreciate everyone's input! I'm looking into lowering springs now, I hear Swift has great springs but they have yet to come out with a final product!

You can easily ruin a good thing by lowering it 2-2.5". It does not need to be that low to handle well and look better (subjective).
A simple .75 - 1" drop is plenty. Slamming it will not create good quality anything except a slammed look. Just my professional opinion, do what makes you happy. |

No disagreement there. The guy I was replying to was trying to say no coil overs would provide good ride quality. The OP is willing to pay for V3s and they are great street threaded body coil overs.
