Got such a scare.
Be very aware of this problem, don't leave your car in the sun without a windscreen sun protector.
Going to report to Toyota
Pic attached is after cooling down and back into place, however you can notice it is not entirely as it should be....
smell my finger......

I have had the same problem and reported to toyota.

They said take before and after pics and the more people report it the better so they can request for a fix.

Factory defects

I also started hearing a popping / clicking sound, at first thought it was one of the usual "rear deck" issues. These are ones I researched:
-Emergency boot latch release not attached
-Moving rattling noise of the middle brake light
-A rear seat not clipped in.
-Rattling noise caused by the white plastic clips under the foam layer below the trunk.
-Or the
spot weld issue with flex
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13451

However, the sound got louder when opening the passenger window. Turned out to be some factory defect in the left side drive train. Toyota Culemborg (Cape Town) had to order and fit new rear left driveshaft from Japan. Had them scratching their heads for a while!

Have started to practice heel & toe in case it was my vicious driving

Hectic

It's been more than a week now without any rear deck noises.

Small window rubber. Seems to be a common issue.

Hey Ryan

Mine is exactly the same. Didn't know it was a fault. If you remove that air vent cartridge you'll see that the top piece of rubber is very flexible. There's really nothing holding it in place except a small notch in the center. The sides are free to move up and down.
