86 factory faults

This thread has been created to make people aware of issues identified with the 86 in RSA.

While logging the complaint regarding the type of oil used, Toyota advised they have a Notification out to the dealerships that there is a problem with condensation in the tail lights.

Keep a look out after washing your car or driving in the rain if you encounter this problem.

I have noticed condensation in the reverse lights from the rain we having in Durban.

Yep, Toyota is aware of the condensation issue. The dealership told me that one of the bolts on the lights could be too tight causing it to crack. He also said that it mostly happens in Durban, probably because of the high humidity.

I've never had condensation in my car's lights and I'm not driving all the way to Durban to test their theory.

LOL! It's going back to the thin GP air that's the problem.
