If thats the case, i did use it. So im guessing the owner needs to buy a license update. Sorry for the confusion, i dont have much info on this.

Based on some comments from Visconti, it sounds like the ECUTek license is somewhere around $250, cable is worth somewhere around $350 so $300 is still a fair price for the cable by itself.

EDIT: But if you want the best deal going, you would need to buy this cable for under $250 otherwise you may as well just get the package deal from FA20Club.

yea I appreciate it. I have been waiting on the hydra ems to be completed and was planning on purchasing that, but thought if the license and cable were this low, taht I couldn't pass this deal up. I think I'll hold off for now, but I appreciate it.

I wish there was something for our cars like the RossTech VAG-COM cables, if you buy one with a built in license(cable is $350) you can use it on anyone's car.

I still have my ross tech cable. I dont see why that wont work on our cars
