Im banking on a special badge/serialized plaque/etc to finalize and commemorate the 1st 86 program. That's all I ever wanted in the first place, though the other goodies (especially the RC car) are very cool and look good in my "FRS Display Case"

Nope I have one that was supposed to be a first 86 (from what I was told) the person who bought it never showed up after 6 weeks of holding it they sold it to me. I believe that person who ordered it is getting the free stuff for being part of the first 86 even though they never bought the car.

I was told it was a first 86 that the person who put the deposit down for never came back to get it. I was also told I was one of the first people in Arizona to get one when I pulled out of the dealership at the very first light I was sitting next to a BRZ and I seem them daily now.

started with a t shirt i think...keychain...then we got to go to long beach formula drift (incl travel, food and hotel) got backpacks and little figure and a poster sunscreen, chapstick, scion pens (i swear for a while people thought i worked for them i had so many), R/C scion FRS, scion hat, beanie, shirts, socks(wtf right?) numbered carbon fiber license plate frame, numbered commemorative FRS Pen set in nice box, car cover, frs poster(its like a print with an electronic signature of Tada, uhhh i guess the most important thing is we got to drive the car way back in april and got delivery of our own cars ~1 month before anyone else and i think we all paid MSRP without markup

Some people got even more swag (beatsonic antenna, backpacks, wheels, 5axis body kits, jackets) if their dealers were cool and others got a "delivery party". Some douchebag dealers just pocketed the money they got from scion though haha and those ppl only got the scion gifts (myself included)

but yeah, needless to say they did plenty to make the adventure just a wee bit more fun scion!!

One of the things we all wanted were some kind of commemorative identifier for the car as being one of the "1st 86" hopefully thats what's on its way!

You get NOTHING!

It's only for the first 86 vehicles that were pre-sold during a special online event earlier this year.

If Scion were smart they would be sending all FR-S owners (Subaru Too) a key fob and a license plate surround or sticker saying something like -
"first year owner", "86 Pioneer", "86 Debut owner", or something of that kind.

A thanks from them to all the owners willing to take the risk of buying a brand new car (with some acting as beta testers).

Why do they owe us?

For one thing, we took a risk on a car that could have been a disaster (considering that the car was made by a committee of two companies),
Secondly, we are responsible for helping to rehabilitate Toyota's fading/failing Scion Division. It isn't the car that remakes the division, it is the market. And we are the market.

It is our enthusiasm and excitement for the car that makes it a success. Just like Honda was built from the ground up, by a fanbase, so could Scion, and it would be us doing it. If you think that Scion's meager advertising budget, or tiny showroom presence can do it.... think again.

Third, Toyota/Scion is gaining millions of dollars worth of collective experience, testing, tuning and marketing insights from us.... for free! Via this and other forums.

Do they owe us their thanks?

Yes, absolutely.

Same here. In fact, they almost sold my car before I could pick it up because they "thought" mine was coming two weeks later.

It will be interesting to see what we get this time. I had pretty much figured it was over by now.

Hmmm, maybe it will just be the 1099 form for the trip....

Hm, or just a crazy east / west Zn6 meet somewhere in TX.

I do hope you guys get something cool though.
