I've used an Odyssey PC680 in my WRX and Mini Cooper S and they seem to perform well. I live in Houston so we don't have very cold winters. The Mini cooper sits in an airport parking garage for 2 weeks at a time and it will still start although it cranks a bit slower.

I tried an Optima yellow in my wife's CRV and it failed within 6 months. Apparently there was a known defect with that particular size of optima battery. I haven't bought another one since that time.

which makes sense because it compensates for the extra weight of a driver on the left.

with a car all about balance i would be hesitant to start messing with weight and the distribution of it.

Well that'll save u lots of cash...... Dont go changing up exhaust, suspension, wheels, or heaven forbid fit a turbo/supercharger.... That will seriously mess with the weight distribution.......

TR-B1500, really nice battery for the money. 15lbs. Not the lightest but great stand by life. They sell them with more or less capacity depending on your needs. exactly. i've had my time with modding cars, my si has wheels/tires. intake, exhaust, and suspension.

the only thing i can see myself doing to the frs is a catback exhaust, and even then i will be paying attention to the design and try to keep the layout as close to stock as possible.

this is the kind of car i won't mind keeping close to stock because it seems to be so well engineered from the factory. slapping on a bunch of aftermarket parts does not seem right for this car.

Lol.....

This car was designed to be aftermarket friendly though as said by Mr. Toyoda himself... I dont think having a lighter battery is going to change the handling characteristics very much at all but it is a weight saver which is a plus all round....
