They are going to be making a killing off of this when other companies are profiting just by selling it at that price. They are going to be charging 70 more dollars then ZETA and I believe 50 more then AVO. Both are respectable companies in this scene. Rediculous what people would pay just for a name on a product. I love Perrins products but this is ridiculous just for a silicone tube that is doubtful it will out perform the other 2 currently being sold. If anything it probably will do the SAME exact thing.

Do you guys honestly expect this to get more HP then the AVO/Zeta Silicone tubes that are already out? They dyno'd theirs and got 1 whp from it.

Dont expect it to do any better then theirs when its basically the same thing.

200? Zeta and AVO both sell one similar to this. Why should we purchase this when theirs is 50-70 dollars cheaper for basically the same thing. I love you guys as a company but please give us members a reason why we should purchase this and pay 50 more than AVO's and Zetas versions of this. You could spend just a little more and get an intake if its going to be @ 200.

LOL ya you go ahead and spend more for an item that other companies have released for cheaper. Other companies have them out on sale on these forums for 150. 50 dollars cheaper and they are from well known companies not some chinese knock offs. You really think spending more money for a quality intake hose is going to be a make or break difference? I can understand things like Turbos/SC but for an silicone hose that literally has very little R&D on it. You can save 50 bucks and get the SAME EXACT THING from AVO or ZEtA. OTherwise you can also spend a little more and get an intake if you prefer to spend your money on quality parts. Atleast they will do better then this for just a little more.

Not when a part like this costs little to nothing to make. You honestly think they are spending a lot to have these produced? Its a silicone tube FFS, This isnt an Exhaust or Header you are buying. They will be making HUGE profits off this item since its so marked up. If Zeta and AVO can make a profit selling it for 150 a tube then how much do you think Perrin will be making from this? Probably TONS more. 50 dollars more per tube is going to add up quick.
Yes we do believe that the PERRIN inlet hose is going to be better because of a few reasons.

The PERRIN inlet hose will have a wire reinforcement so it never collapses, which looks like the AVO has, but I'm not sure that the Zeta hose has.

The PERRIN inlet will also get rid of the noise generator, and resonator tube to give smoother airflow.

Also as shown in the pictures, the PERRIN hose is bent in a S shape to make the transition from the intake box smoother. We didn't just copy the design of the factory inlet hose.

Also keep in mind the inlet hose price isn't finalized, it most likely will be under $200. When it's officially introduced, Jeff will post a blog explaining everything you will want to know about the part.

It has the features I want, but not at a price I'm willing to pay. If AVO had a silicone tube less the sound generator port at their current price point I'd have it. I won't give Perrin that much money for silicon. Or anyone. Nothing personal...but I don't always want to my for eccentricities in desired features.

Don't get me wrong. It's EXACTLY what I want, just not at a price I'm willing to pay. When I see final pricing on that bumper cold air bundled with the silicon tube for savings, I'll reevaluate my decision.

So, not everyone is happy about the price, yet all we have said is its "about" $200. Lets define "about". It means, approximately; nearly; almost....

In the case of the PERRIN BRZ Inlet Hose "About $200" translates into exactly $142.99.

So even at $200, we feel our part is better than the rest for a few reasons, but at $142.99, its really hard to argue why to buy any other BRZ inlet hose. We didn't just copy the OEM part, we made it better in every way we could!

So to be clear, this part will be for sale for $142.99 when its released.
That doens't include our sales we run once and a while or what a dealer might offer it to you in a package!

THAT is a price I'm willing to pay. That's closer to $100 than it is to $200, so you might as well sell it to me for $100, yeah?

I need to be more patient, I purchased the Zeta pipe and I'm wondering if the Perrin will prove to be better....

On the other hand, I'm probably going to jump on a group buy (that I PRAY will occur) when the Perrin Tune / Intake come out, as I presume I'll be migrating over to a full intake system rather than silicone piping/drop in filter.

It may or may not be better I don't have the zeta to compare but I don't think it would be worth changing out when you already have one. I don't know if Perrin does group buys but they may offer intro pricing for such a combo, seems like a good idea to me anyways.

Before I saw the price announced, I liked what I've seen of it (if it were black) and I hate the factory sound tube, but not terribly interested at around $200. I was thinking I'd likely pick it up if it were more like $125-150, and since it is announced it will be under $150, I'll probably pick one up.

There will be other colors too, I didn't get to choose but the blue is pretty nice. Still loving it I have a header back exhaust and needed something on the intake side and this fits the bill, the factory air box is a good design this just takes it another step.

Does anyone like the sound tube? I actually enjoy the note it produces in the cabin. Does the volume just get too loud once you add a tune/exhaust/etc?

How about you shut the hell up and think for a second. You honestly think if we didnt say anything they would of told us a price like that? Its pretty obvious that this thread was made to see the forums reaction to the product they were introducing to the market. So is it wrong of me to assume and discuss why its bad if it was going to be that much? None of us knew that Perrin would drop the price so much. For all we know that they were gauging how we would react to pricing that they suggested and acted accordingly on that. Have you thought maybe if everyone was fine with it being at 200 that they possibly could of set it at 190 - 200 for that tube? Obviously you didnt because vendors on these forums post to get opinions from members like us to see how we would react. And if everyone OK with how they were planning to price it at then why wouldnt they do that if no one disagreed. Vendors post on these forums to provide us with updates and to receive feedback on their products. Otherwise they cant get our opinions on things like this.

Just because I said its over priced I guess I am a troll huh. Nothing wrong with a wall of text if you dont like it dont read it. No one ever said we cant speak up on something we dont like. And I just didnt happen to like the price. If I am going to quote multiple posters. I will do that. I can type fast and that did not take long to type out. And like another member said its a review post. I love Perrins products dont get me wrong but if I see something I dont like then I will say it. No ones forcing you to read my posts if you dont like it then ignore me. Before they listed the sale price they said around 200 dollars and none of us knew that they would of adjusted the price that much. So quit acting like it was that big of a deal.

If people talk negative about a product they are listed as a troll or a bad member. It happens all over these forums people like you really need to get over it. If someone is going to say anything negative about a product they shouldnt get lit up for it. Cause it happens ALL the time on these forums if you havent noticed. Especially for products that should have bad reviews and then those posters who say anything bad will get flamed by idiots like you who seem to get butt hurt over a wall of text. If you dont like me then add me to your ignore list just like what I did to Joe Boxer cause for all care you can kiss my ass. And BTW my monitor is on a 42 inch TV so a wall of text might look just like a small paragraph to me when to you guys it could be huge. Honestly Idgaf. Dont like it? Dont read it.

And @PERRIN_Jeff Thank you for that beautiful explanation. I am sure it answers a lot of peoples questions about this and glad that it is priced to be more competitive with the other similar parts on the market.
