Just installed mine along with a perrin drop-in filter. Didn't take too long and i'm a complete noob when it comes to these things. I didn't reset my ECU but I've probably driven 100 miles+ since then so hopefully it's ok.

It definitely is quieter now since i removed the sound generator and it sounds a little different. Seems to almost make a whoosh sound when building up the revs. As far as more power I dont notice any difference but it definitely feels much smoother when building up the revs especially in the top end when it use to feel like it would struggle a bit there.

After my ECU has adjusted after a few days of driving with the HKS drop in and Perrin tube I can tell it pulls a little stronger above 4500 RPM all the way to redline. Its hard to tell if the sound has changed much.

I drank the kool aid. Started with the Silicon, and then added more metal.

With a Unichip Perrin & All Headers Base Tune, Perrin CAI and Silicon Intake Tube, Motive Concepts Test Pipe, and an Accelerated Performance Cat-Back Exhaust, it feels, well...

Orgasmic.

And it sounds that way too.

I haven't found a better combination yet.

Where did you guys purchased your perrin inlet hose from? Every vendor I know in the west coast seem to be out of it.

How was the CAI install? Is removing the bumper difficult without power tools?
