Yeah, you're right. But I'm pretty sure the two are interchangeable (isn't one like 316mm and the other 312mm?) in practice, and I know some aftermarket sources list the same part for both applications.

It's used on turbo Foresters too.

Here's some Centric diagrams:

2008+ STI:

Note that the 2008+ WRX does not have vented rears.

I don't understand the confusion. In Australia where they do have a model with the smaller brakes then they are listed correctly and seeing as they are an Australian company I can understand that they would provide listings for these. Have you considered they may not have been aware that the American models are different? You just have to be aware of this when ordering from overseas. This isn't uncommon, we regularly have the same issue over here when buying from you lot over the pond

If I were ordering from an Austrailian vendor, I would accept that. But I think you missed my post where I said:

And might I also remind you, these are the low-spec rotors and they are listed for the Limited which is the top-spec in this market. I didn't order them for a Premium.

And do we know if the correct rotors have the "Kangaroo Paw" vanes?

Might just be a case of the US vendor using the Australian EPC etc. I doubt that DBA themselves would change that so you can't really blame DBA.

I thought the cooling vanes would be used on all vented discs. Seeing as the incorrect ones you had were not ventilated discs then that'd be why they didn't have the kangaroo paw vanes (I'd assume).

Fronts were vented with radial vanes.

There was a * by the "Kangaroo Paw" picture on the box that said not all rotors have those. So, ultimately, if a particular set of rotors don't have their special vane design (which I would like since it increases surface area for cooling) then there's no reason to get the DBAs.

I'm just saying that due to their lack of due diligence, I had an afternoon go pear-shaped on me when I dicovered halfway through a full brake job that the rotors I ordered were 100% not what I was expecting. Wrong size, improper venting, and not even the DBA venting design. That completely soured me to the brand.

I guess my point is, double-check everything because you can't be sure they've verified the fitment. And if the rotors don't have the DBA "Kangaroo Paw" then don't pay extra for them.

Actually that was very much what I was trying to say and hopefully this thread with correct part numbers for front and rear should prevent the same thing from occurring.

Van anyone confirm that he 4000 series front and rear disc come with the kangaroo paw ventilation? @FT-86 SpeedFactory?
