Oh man. Now I'm worried that mine might arrive in that condition. They were shipped to Los Angeles and then will be travelling 7,200 miles to Manila

I suffered the same, albeit not-quite so bad damage. Hopefully they find a better way to package these going forward.

Just got mine and fitted them.
They look and work great!

Just a few comments that might help.
When you remove the bolts, if you want the white paint to stay undamaged, place a double layer of the plastic from a strut bag over the head before you put the socket on it.
The lower 10mm bolts are ok from an engineering point of view but only just. The reduced thread length means it's tricky to get them in without cross threading and they are more easily stripped by over torqueing. It would be better for that reason and to look at, with longer matching black bolts as per the upper brackets.

Lastly, the top curve of the top of the struts is clearly a stress point that the paint chips off easily. Mine were both already touched up before they got here and a bit more flaked off when I ran my finger around the top. That's a shame because the rest is so well finished and the silver under the black stands out like dog's balls when it flakes off.

Final lastly.
Everything would stand a better chance of surviving the journey if something like bubble wrap was used instead of loose in the box with some rolled up paper, even if they are plastic wrapped.

The last final lastly.
Thanks Grimmspeed! My bonnet[hood] strut is hanging on the garage wall and i'm very proud of the new gas struts that work perfectly. You did ask for feedback.

Thanks for the review and the tips! We've ordered 10mm hardware to include with future kits as well as packaging for the struts that will prevent the possibility of chips. We appreciate you're honest feedback!

Thanks for implementing our suggestions so readily, I can't think of any other business that would do that.
What other goodies have you got for us?

We can't figure out why other companies aren't as responsive. Oh well!

We've been finishing up some other ongoing projects for the wrx/sti platforms so that we can clear our plates for another BRZ/FR-S project. We've got something coming, so keep an eye out for a thread in the next couple weeks! We'll post a link here as well.

For now, here's a quick (off topic) glimpse as what we've been doing recently when we're not playing with the BRZ.

Mine weren't chipped in the post. They have been touched up around the top radius of the strut, quite possibly by the supplier to Grimmspeed?
It's not a big deal, you have to look closely to see it but I think it might continue to flake off in that area.
Either that top curved edge flexes or it wasn't properly prepped prior to painting or it just got chipped there and touched up?
