No I haven't and thanks for the tip. A buddy of mine said his dad couldn't get a bolt of his ac compressor years ago and had to buy something that removes rounded/stripped bolts. I wonder if this is what he was talking about because he is going to bring them over.

Anyways I will want a set for myself. I'll check amazon

I picked up a cheap set from a parts store a couple years ago and there have been a couple times that I thought I was going to be drilling bolts, and these worked great.

BTW, do I have to go through my dealership or Subaru for the bolt or can they be found at hardware stores?

You could use hardware store bolts, just make sure you get the same grade of bolt, or higher and you should be fine. But if the dealer has it in stock, and it is not too expensive, I prefer that over going to a couple different hardware stores searching through bins of bolts to find the right one. Either way, good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Thanks,
Rick

Agree. I had to buy an exhaust bolt, and while it was expensive at 4.50, it was worth the piece of mind having the designed bolt in place. I tried at the hardware store and found "similar" bolts, but for what? to save $2... not worth it :happy0180:

Wow! Pretty safe those wheel locks huh?? (NOT bashing your particular wheel locks, just wheel locks in general including the ones on my car )
